Mindfulness Through Clay | Ages 16+ 8Wk Session
This 8-week mindfulness clay class explores clay as a practice of presence, self-expression,
and creative discovery. Rather than focusing on technical pottery skills, participants will engage
clay slowly and intentionally through guided meditations, sensory exploration, and reflective
artmaking.
Each session begins with a short grounding meditation followed by a clay activity designed to
support nervous system regulation, emotional expression, and personal reflection. Participants
will explore clay through a variety of processes including clay field work, vessel making,
symbolic sculpture, and creative transformation.
Clay is a uniquely responsive material that engages the senses and the body through touch,
pressure, and movement. Working with clay can help quiet the mind, deepen awareness, and
provide a meaningful way to explore inner experience.
This class is open to all experience levels. No prior clay experience is required.
Participants will leave with several finished pieces as well as a deeper appreciation for clay as a
mindful and creative practice.
Includes all tools, firings, glazes, and 11 lbs of clay per month
Open to beginners and experienced potters alike
