Personal Fabric Design Workshop Personal Fabric Design Workshop

June 29 - July 1 or July 20 - 22

Learn an array of textile processes to create personalized pieces of fabric decoration, clothing, and accessories. We will dye, paint, hand letter, and stitching to create custom fabric creations such as bags and tapestry wall hangings. Experiment with Turkish marbling and block printing too!

Statue Sculpting Workshop Statue Sculpting Workshop

June 29 - July 1

Students will start by building the base of their model from newspaper working from source material and paper sketches. From there they will learn about texture, surface, and form as they sculpt and refine their statue into a beautiful work of art.

Printmaking & Lettering Design Workshop Printmaking & Lettering Design Workshop

July 6 - 8 or July 20 - 22

Printmaking is an amazing way to create personal and repeatable works of art, and hand lettering gives each piece its own individual flair. Learn how to join these two art forms to make memorable journal entrees, fabric prints, and signs. Explore relief prints (hand carved stamps), transfers, calligraphy, and hand lettering on many mediums that can be decorated and altered to suit any students style! Students will bring home a new journal and custom made stamps.

Have a favorite show, movie, or video game? Let’s make something from it out of clay! Learn problem solving and planning as you create your favorite characters and items as hand-built figures, on mugs, or plaques. The possibilities are endless.

Comic Creations Workshop Comic Creations Workshop

July 13 - 15 or August 3 - 5

Learn how to bring your story to life! This narrative art workshop will cover all the steps needed to create your own comic book including, design and layout, penciling roughs to final, inking and coloring to make your own story. Students are encouraged to bring their own inspiration. Taught by a former published comic artist.

Learn all the steps to make custom pieces that can not only be display but worn too! We will experiment with making handmade jewelry using resin molding, ceramic hand building, gems, crystals, and painting along with a display frame for your jewelry pieces.

Drawing Fundamentals Workshop Drawing Fundamentals Workshop

June 22 - 24 or August 17 - 19

Build a great foundation for all further art endeavors in Drawing Fundamentals! We will learn the key principles of art as we break down drawing into its most key components; line, shape, and value. Students will go home with their own notebook of references, and ideas for continued practice.

Create your own textile wall art learning an assortment of punch needle techniques. Much like embroidery, you can make intricate works of illustrative art using a punch needle and thread. We will spend our three days making one large student designed wall hanging including a frame to be displayed.

Make your own chess, checkers, or original game board out of clay and glaze it exactly how you want! Learn how to hand build and sculpt your own play pieces and board that you can play and display.

Acrylic Painting Workshop Acrylic Painting Workshop

August 3 - 5

Learn the basics of acrylic painting and layering through still life painting, collage, and portraiture. We will spend the first two days discussing color, mixing, and layering as we work on stills and pieces based on collage, and move into a portrait with all we have learned on our final day.

August 10 - 12

Create your own detailed figure, character, or creature with air dry and polymer clay! We will take your 2D drawing to 3D as we focus on anatomy. Learning how to add facial features and muscles with detailed painting and carving. Students are encouraged to bring inspiration for their clay pieces to the first day of class.

August 10 - 12

Learn how to create decorative 3D work and break out of the usual 2D wall decor. Students can make pieces purely for aesthetic or functional items like wall planters for a vertical garden. Practice sculpting and carving as you examine other artists work and why they are so successful. Learn different ways to mount, form, and create with us!

This is not your average painting class, we're talking resin and acrylic dripping, brushwork, pallet knife techniques, and pouring on canvas, metal, and wood. Sure to be a workshop you will not forget.

Dog Painting Portraits Workshop Dog Painting Portraits Workshop

July 20 - 22

Join us for the first ever pet portrait class using real dogs! We will begin our time together learning about our furry friends face and body structure then walk to Sasha’s Pet Daycare for some fun quick sketching of dogs while they play. We will take pictures of our favorites and return to the studio to create one final work of art on canvas.

We offer a 10% discount for multiple summer enrollments and siblings
If your child would like to attend both the morning camp and afternoon workshop they are welcome to stay in the studio during the 1 hour break between classes at no additional charge. *They must be between 9 - 12 years old and bring an activity to do during the break while staff prepares for afternoon programs.

Cancellation Policy- If you need to change or cancel your reservation for any reason, please notify us via email at GetCreative@RedmondArtWorks.com
If we receive notice of cancellation more than two weeks in advance we will credit your families studio account in full.
Cancellations made within two weeks of your workshop/camp start date will receive 75% of tuition cost only if we are able to fill your child's place in programming.
We apologize but we are unable to offer refunds or make-ups for last minute missed summer programming due to illness or unforeseen events.
In studio credit can be used towards anything in the studio and does not expire. This includes: adult classes, one time family events, weekly classes, and open studio fees.
