Students extend their practice by participating in weekly design challenges and artist studies as students hone their personal artistic style and skill sets. 60 min

Advanced Painting Advanced Painting

Ages 8 - 13

Extend practice through still life paintings, collage, and portraiture. Discussing color, mixing, and layering as we work on stills and pieces based on collage, then move into large canvas portraits. 60 min

Cartooning 1 Cartooning 1

Ages 8 - 13
Create zany cartoon characters to drop into a story or make a statement. We will distort, exaggerate, embellish, add action, drama and humor. Cartoonists will learn the basics of expression drawing, line quality, constructing from the imagination and drawing from life. We will explore space and make our images pop. Media will include pencil, paper, markers, ink and water color. 60 min

Elevate Art Elevate Art

Elevate Ages 8-13

Elevate Art students will use their knowledge of multiple art mediums as they take interdisciplinary skills to a new level by combining them to create art projects that are truly unique. Students should expect projects to take more than one class period to complete as they tackle multiple art forms for each new creation. 60 min

Digital Art Digital Art

Ages 8-13
Our digital creation class will teach you all the basics of Procreate & other app based creation on the iPad. Understand how to use the vast toolkit such as layers, brushes, color wheels, and perspective available to you in the Procreate application. Leave class with a better understanding of digital painting and portraiture. iPad, pen, & Procreate provided by studio for each student to use during class, if you have your own Procreate setup from home, you are welcome to bring it too! 60 min (Prerequisite 2D Foundations)

Focusing on elements of line, shape, color, and value while discovering students personal artistic style. Students will be taught skills and techniques unique to multiple paint mediums, giving them control over their chosen medium and allowing them to fully express their creative vision. 60 min (Prerequisite 2D Foundations)

Advanced Digital Art Advanced Digital Art

Ages 8-13

Building on the progress of our digital arts program, students will be invited to further excel in the advanced digital art class. This class will challenge even the most proficient students with larger-scale projects, digital portfolio building, alternative tool usage, and more. Students will have the opportunity to truly master all of the tools in Procreate and create their own unique digital style 60 min (Prerequisite Digital Art)

Ages 8-16
Prerequisite to all beginner and advanced 2D courses
Attend a 6 week session - or - 2-day workshop before enrolling in level 1 weekly classes.

Students expand their understanding of drawing and painting concepts by learning about shape and form, light and shadow, perspective, color theory, and composition.
