Drawing people can be one of the most challenging—and rewarding—skills an artist can learn. In this figure drawing workshop, teens will explore how the human body moves, bends, and holds expression through gesture drawing, proportion, and portrait studies. We’ll break down anatomy in a clear, approachable way so students can better understand how figures are built and how to draw them with confidence.
Using reference images, poseable figures, and live observation (including ourselves!), students will practice capturing movement, balance, and personality in their drawings. By the end of the workshop, each student will take home a sketchbook filled with studies, ideas, and inspiration to keep developing their figure drawing skills long after class ends.
