Wheel Throwing Wkshop
Explore the art of making ceramics using the pottery wheel and hand building techniques. This is a workshop completely tailored for students new and experienced with pottery to utilize our full studio and instructor knowledge to make their ideas come to life.
We’ll begin each day with beginner wheel instruction and work through various altering techniques and additions of slabs, handles, and spouts to create an assortment of pottery forms you can actually use! This workshop is a fantastic way to dip your toe into the world of ceramics and build the confidence to use the studio independently during open studio hours!
Students are welcome to take this class multiple times to continue honing their skills with instructor support.

Winter Sgraffito Wkshop
In this exciting seasonal
workshop we will hand build a plate or platter with slump and hump molds. Once we have a form made we will learn the technique of Sgraffito. Sgraffito is the art of scratching a one-of-a-kind design through
underglaze or slip to make a clear image. This technique will be shown using pre-drawn or printed designs and transferred onto the form for a lasting
holiday/winter piece of art!

Wonky Pot Wkshop
This class will focus on thrown vessels with a twist, literally!
Sometimes it can be hard to make a perfectly uniform piece on the wheel. Even
when that is achieved it can sometimes be missing something. So, lets embrace
the “wonky” pot! We will be focusing on altering thrown forms to make
intentional dents, twists, waves, dimples and other textures. We will use all
sorts of tools, and unconventional items like, rope, stamps, sticks, and much
more to make some awesome wonky pots!!!
*Recommended that students be comfortable with centering & throwing cylinders prior to enrollment.

Tray Collage Wkshop
Jump into a one day mixed media project collaging a wooden tray using paint, glue, paper, found objects, repurposed materials covered with a resin top coat. Artwork subject focus will be decided by each artist, so come with some ideas and we will help make your vision come to life!

Sun Prints - Cyanotypes Wkshop
Make beautiful prints using just sunlight and water! Cyanotypes are a historical photographic process that is both simple and extremely flexible; making it beginner friendly and full of endless possibilities. The prints will turn blue in the background with areas blocked by items turning white to create beautiful blue images. In this workshop you will learn how to create a cyanotype on a variety of surfaces including holiday cards and a canvas tote to make beautiful and unique prints.

Winter Mobile Wkshop
Make fun decor for the holidays with our mixed media extraordinaire Annie! Create a lasting hanging mobile with individual pendants. Students will use orange peel stars, paper snowflakes, cardboard stars, air-dry clay shapes, star anise, cinnamon sticks, and sage to make a beautiful decoration that also smells amazing!

Wkshop Jewelry Making
Learn all the steps to making custom
pieces that can not only be displayed but worn too! We will experiment with making
handmade jewelry using resin molding, polymer hand building, wire wrapping and crystals, all in time for holiday gift giving!

Wkshop 2D Foundations
Skip our 2D Foundations weekly class (8wk course) and take our two day workshop instead! Students expand their understanding of drawing and painting concepts by learning about shape and form, light and shadow, perspective, color theory, and composition. All students will be allowed to move on to our level 1 drawing and painting classes once completed.

Wkshop Figure Drawing
Humans are one of the most complex forms to draw, so join us to learn the proportions and anatomy of the human figure through expressive gestures and detailed portraits. We will use images, poseable figures, and ourselves to further our abilities and knowledge of the figure. Students will come home with a new notebook filled with work and ideas to continue practicing.

Printmaking & Lettering Design Wkshop
Printmaking is an amazing way to create personal and repeatable works of art, and hand lettering gives each piece its own individual flair. Learn how to join these two art forms to make memorable journal entrees, fabric prints, and signs. Students will bring home a new journal and custom made stamps.

Wkshop Botanical Pottery
Students will use slabs of clay to create their
choice of function dinnerware pieces. We will add impressions to clay using winter
botanicals with a focus on balance and composition. Students will also be
instructed in how to apply underglaze to make designs really pop before going
into the kiln for their two firings!

Wkshop Votive Ceramic Candle Holder
Exploring texture through additive and subtractive techniques students
will experiment with texture to create a unique and functional votive candle
holder in this one day workshop. They will be instructed in additive techniques with the use of slipping
and scoring as well as subtractive carving and relief techniques. The focus
will be on making an experimental form with tactile pieces! Students will select a dip glaze color to complete their masterpiece.

Wkshop Building LARGE in Ceramics
Students will learn how to build LARGE constructing a flower pot, serving bowl, or lidded jar with clay slabs and coils. We will focus on making simple forms with added surface decoration to make one of a kind eye catching functional pieces to keep or gift!
